The purpose of HAVlife is to raise funds that can help in preventing “Lost Potential” in our youth. The target audience is the middle school age children. Hunter was a unique soul, he was a very positive young man who had an ability to attract friends from all groups. Hunter participated in Football and Soccer and excelled at both. He had a love of music and enjoyed his school participation too. Too often children lack the simple funding to allow them to participate in a sports camp, a music camp or even miss an opportunity to try a musical instrument. HAVlife wants to help by underwriting participation scholarships that allow children to experience life to the fullest. Hunter had a saying, “Life is short, have fun.” How prophetic. No one could imagine Hunter’s life would be so short. Thirteen years is not enough, however in those 13 years Hunter experienced many things a large number of children never have the opportunity to. HAVlife wants to change that, giving as many children as possible the opportunity to HAV fun, because life is short. To date HAVife has funded scholarships for athletic and music camp attendance so that children might discover a lifetime love. It has supported the local school system by underwriting the purchase of several musical instruments, creating more opportunities for lessons and learning. HAVlife has made it possible through scholarship support to help students travel and compete in music and show choir events. All these things allow children to learn and participate with an activity that will provide a positive environment.
HAVlife has also established the HAVlife-Hunter Aaron Vondran Youth Scholarship and Enrichment Fund within the Davenport Community School System where Middle School counselors identify and award participation scholarships to support those young athletic and music talented.
